The EMDR Europe Association honors outstanding contributions to EMDR therapy with the David Servan-Schreiber Award and Francine Shapiro Award, recognizing exceptional achievements and research advancements annually.

David Servan-Schreiber Award
The David Servan-Schreiber Award is an honorary accolade presented by EMDR Europe during the European Annual Conference. This award recognizes outstanding achievements in the field of EMDR Therapy and was instituted in 2012 in memory of the late David Servan-Schreiber, a pioneering psychiatrist, researcher, EMDR trainer, and internationally acclaimed author.

Francine Shapiro Award
The Francine Shapiro Award is a prestigious honor bestowed annually by EMDR Europe. This accolade recognizes the authors of the best scientific article presented at the EMDR Europe annual conference from the previous year. Instituted to celebrate significant contributions to EMDR research, the award highlights advancements in effective clinical applications across diverse populations.

25th Anniversary Special Award
On the occasion of the 25th Anniversary of the Association a special award was handed out to Marylin Luber.
Marilyn Luber Ph.D. is a psychologist, psychotherapist and of course an EMDR therapist trained in 1993, living in Philadelphia, USA. She has this extraordinary capacity to bring people together, as she did at the founding of EMDR Europe and ever since. She is supporting with her heart the development of EMDR all over the world, and we are grateful for all she did for EMDR therapy and for EMDR Europe.
