EMDR Europe Funding for Scientific Research
The EMDR Europe Association is committed to advancing the field of EMDR through funding for research programs.
Each year, EMDR Europe awards grants to support research, with a current focus on pilot randomized controlled trials for the treatment of psychological trauma and other co-occurring psychological disorders.
Apply for a Research Grant
- Application Deadline: March 30 of each year.
- Submission Email: m.hase@emdr-lemen.de
- Eligibility: Only proposals submitted by the deadline and from researchers based in Europe will be considered.
- Grant Amount: Maximum of €15,000 per project
- Project Duration: Maximum of 2 years
Important Information
- Notification of Grant Approval: Notifications will be sent out in July of each year. The Research Committee assess the different projects received according to defined criteria, then proposes to the Board of EMDR Europe to grant a certain number of research projects. Finally The Board of EMDR Europe, at its June meetings, makes the final decision. The applicants are notified of the decision in July of each year.
- Feedback Policy: EMDR Europe doesn’t provide feedback on applications beyond the funding notification.
- Ethics Guidance: Research projects not affiliated with academic institutions of health authorities may receive guidance from the EMDR Europe Research Ethics Committees.
